The things pharmacists ask us
Is Pharmacy Network free for pharmacists?+
Yes. Creating an account, building your Pharmacy Passport, browsing jobs and accepting locum shifts is free for pharmacists, technicians and students — always. Employers pay to post roles and shifts.
How much do locum pharmacists earn in Ireland?+
Locum pharmacist rates in Ireland generally run from about €40 to €55 an hour, depending on the county, the day of the week and how urgently cover is needed. Our Salary Guide breaks down current pay by role and region.
How do I find locum pharmacist shifts near me?+
Set your county and availability in your Pharmacy Passport and matching shifts come to you. Filter by rate, dispensing system and date, then accept a shift in one tap — no agency phone calls.
Do I need to be PSI-registered to join?+
No — you can create an account without one. Pharmacists can add their PSI number any time to earn a verified badge (we check it against the live PSI register). Pharmacy technicians, OTC staff, managers and students are welcome too.
How does payment for locum shifts work?+
Payment is arranged directly between the pharmacy and the professional — Pharmacy Network never takes a cut. Our How Payment Works guide explains the PAYE, umbrella, sole trader and limited company options.
