Terms of Use
The ground rules for using Pharmacy Network — in plain English wherever possible.
Last updated: 5 July 2026
1. Who we are and what Pharmacy Network is
Pharmacy Network ("the Platform", "we", "us") is an online platform that connects pharmacies and healthcare employers ("Employers") with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, students and other pharmacy professionals ("Professionals") in Ireland.
The Platform is a connection and communication service only. We are not a recruitment agency, employment agency, employer, payroll provider or payment processor. We are not a party to any employment contract, locum engagement, booking or payment arrangement made between users.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account and keep it up to date — including, for Professionals, your professional registration details (such as PSI registration) and qualifications. Misrepresenting qualifications, registration status or identity is a serious breach of these terms and will result in account termination.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred.
You must be at least 16 years old and legally entitled to work in Ireland (or state clearly if not) to register as a Professional.
3. Bookings, cancellations and the Trust & Reliability system
When a Professional accepts a shift or an Employer accepts an application, both parties are expected to honour the booking. The mutual commitment confirmation is a statement of good faith — it is not an employment contract, and the resulting working arrangement (including pay, structure and terms) is agreed directly between the Employer and the Professional.
The Platform operates a Trust & Reliability system. By using the Platform you agree that: cancellations, late arrivals, non-attendance, completed shifts, response times and ratings may be recorded and factored into a reliability score displayed to other users; late cancellations may reduce that score on the published scale; and repeated late cancellations or non-attendance may lead to warnings, temporary suspension or permanent removal from the Platform.
Ratings must be honest, based on genuine completed engagements, and free of abusive or defamatory content. We may remove ratings or content that breach these terms and may suspend users who attempt to manipulate scores.
Our administrators may review and reverse penalties (for example, for genuine emergencies) at their discretion.
4. Payments
The Platform does not process, hold, transfer or guarantee any payment between users and charges no commission on engagements. Rates shown on listings are set by Employers. How payment is structured and made (payroll, umbrella company, limited company or otherwise) is entirely a matter between the Employer and the Professional, who are each responsible for their own tax, PRSI, VAT and other legal obligations. Our "How Payment Works" page is general information only and is not tax, legal or financial advice.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: post false, misleading or discriminatory listings or profile content; harvest or scrape other users' data; circumvent the Platform to avoid its trust systems while using its matching; harass or abuse other users; upload unlawful content; or use the Platform for any purpose other than genuine pharmacy work-related connections.
Job listings and locum shifts must comply with Irish employment and equality law, including the Employment Equality Acts.
6. Content
You retain ownership of the content you post (profiles, listings, messages, forum posts, ratings) and grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display it for the purpose of operating the Platform. You are responsible for the content you post. We may moderate, edit or remove content that breaches these terms.
7. Professional responsibility
Professionals are responsible for holding and maintaining the registrations, qualifications, Garda vetting and professional indemnity insurance required for the work they accept. Employers are responsible for verifying that any Professional they engage holds the required registration and qualifications, and for meeting their own obligations as engagers of staff (including employment law, tax and PSI regulatory requirements). Information displayed on a Pharmacy Passport is provided by the Professional and is not independently verified by the Platform unless expressly marked as verified.
8. Liability
The Platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for: the conduct, reliability, qualifications or performance of any user; any loss arising from an engagement made (or cancelled) between users; loss of profits, business or data; and interruptions or errors in the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, abuse the reliability or ratings systems, or put other users at risk. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
10. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be notified on the Platform and continued use constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
